Is it possible for Singapore to eat its way out of a recession? With all these super attractive dining deals going around now, I think it is definitely possible!
Here are my picks for the upcoming week:
1) DINNER at Xi Yan restaurant
38A Craig Road, Tel: 62203546
Exquisite Oriental dining at an elusive location!
7 course set dinner now starts from only 48+++ per pax. Menu includes Xiang xu duck (deep fried duck on top of glutinous rice), tomatoes in wasabi sesame sauce (my favorite!), zhejiang ribs, pregnant woman rice and other delectable yummies.
2) LUNCH at Pan Pacific Hotel Orchard's 10 at Claymore restaurant
10 Claymore Road, Tel: 68316686
1-for-1 2 or 3 course set lunches for WOMEN, Mon-Sat 12-230pm
29+++ for 2 course lunch and 38+++ for 3 courses. Starters include blue swimmer crab on avocado and charred corn with lemon hollandaise, mains include grilled tuna loin nicoise style
3) LUNCH at Hot Stones Steak and Seafood restaurant
Block D, Clarke Quay, #01-06, Tel: 63334868
2 course set lunch at 15 nett, Weekdays 12-3pm
Choose between a salad or mushroom soup, or mango pudding for dessert. Mains include Australian Sirloin Steak and Kurobuta Tenderloin.
4) LUNCH at Shangri La's The Line restaurant
22 Orange Grove Road, Tel: 62134396
Buffet lunch at 27+++ (usual 48+++) on weekdays running from 9-16Mar09. Promotion is part of the hotel's 4th anniversary. Buffet dinner is going at 68+++ (usual 88+++) but lunch sounds like a much better deal IMHO.
Bon apetit!
